Losing Weight is 90 Percent Mental and the Other Half Physical

No matter how you add things up, successful weight loss happens between the ears.

Consider taking a 10-minute mental vacation every day to help increase your odds of permanent weight loss. You, and only you, can decide where to go on your daily mental vacation and how to get there. After all, it is your vacation.

Just to get you started, consider these 3 destinations.

Weight loss tip 11 of 100: Take a 10-minute daily mental vacation.

Consider starting off at the beach. Take the first minute or 2 taking deep, calming breaths in a quiet place with your eyes closed. Get very relaxed. Then, imagine yourself at the beach. Listen to the calming waves and the seagulls singing. Feel the hot sun on your body and the sand between your toes.

Next, travel in your mind to a place called Focus Point. Focus Point is a remote, exclusive part of the beach where you go to relax and recharge your battery. This is where you would say your daily affirmations.

Below are some affirmations you might consider.

Weight loss tip 12 of 100: Say daily affirmations.

…I am the CEO (chief eating officer) of my mind and body.

…I control food. Food does not control me.

…I eat to live now. I no longer live to eat.

…Food is simply fuel for my body.

…So I eat what I need the most, not what I want the most.

…I succeed in the moment, one moment at a time and one day at a time.

…The NET CALORIE rules period, end of story.

…So I eat a little less and exercise a little more.

…My mindset is now how little can I eat, not how much.

…My mindset is now how slow can I eat, not how fast.

…My mindset is now how soon can I stop.

…I only eat when I feel hungry.

…I no longer eat for comfort.

…I no longer eat for entitlement.

…I no longer eat for reward.

…I no longer eat for celebration.

…I no longer eat out of boredom.

…I avoid the uncomfortable feeling of fullness forever.

…I select whole, healthy, nutritious food.

…I sit and eat slowly, savoring every bite.

…I stop eating when I reach satiety of 66 percent.

…Every day is an opportunity to lose a little weight.
