Fill Up on Self-Compassion with These Three Heaping Portions of Advice

self compassionI would assume that if you’re reading this blog you’re not yet skinny and debt free.  However, I am 100% positive that you can and will be, over time.  Take this short quiz to get a baseline score on your current level of self-compassion.

Keep this score in a safe place, so you can refer back to it periodically over the next year.  We’re all going to work together to help us fall in love with ourselves. It might not be love at first sight, but it’ll be a growing and nurturing love that will help us realize our dreams, to be skinny and debt free.  We need to treat this marriage with a high level of commitment. No matter what, it will last the rest of our lives.

Starting today we can and will start our new love affair with ourselves.

Here are 3 helpful portions to remember as we eat our way out of debt and get a little skinnier:

  1.  Write a love letter to yourself.  Make it a long one.  Be creative.  Be honest.  Be endearing.  There’s no reason to be anything but flattering, loving, and positive. Keep this letter in your skinny and debt free compassion diet notebook.  (I lovingly suggest that you get a notebook, binder, a good bit of paper, and a pencil or pen. We do not want a love letter email, do we?)
  2.  Write the following skinny and debt free compassion diet affirmation.  (This will be one of many.)  I EAT TO LIVE NOW; I NO LONGER LIVE TO EAT. Over time, we will have a page full of affirmations that we’ll say every day.
  3. Draw a picture of yourself skinny and debt free. My 6th grade art teacher told me that I had less artistic talent than anyone she had ever taught. So if I can draw this picture, then you can as well. Please have some fun with this, why not?  My picture is me at the beach on a sunny day…skinny… in a red bathing suit, with the sun in the sky and birds flying.  There’s a rain cloud out at sea that is moving towards me and it’s raining $100 bills.

I am not an artist, nutritionist, psychologist, or a teacher. I am a person with a little experience, who has a burning desire to use the concepts I have learned to help you become skinny and debt free.  Hang in there with me.  I have a ton of stuff to share and I like to have fun doing it!
