The holidays are getting closer and closer. If you’re still looking for ways to make some extra cash there’s still time! Below are some ideas you can put into action today to start bringing in that extra money.
Find a seasonal job. Many retailers and restaurants are still looking for extra help during the holiday rush. If you don’t have retail experience, no worries, look for a job as a gift wrapper or greeter. The variety of help needed, from putting together doll houses to snapping family photos, makes the chances good that you’ll be able to find a job to help you earn extra cash this season.
Use your talents to make money. If you’re good with crafts, make your own holiday decorations and ornaments and sell them on a free Facebook page online. Tell friends and family you’re selling them as well. If you’re constantly asked to bring your famous pie to gatherings, make them for friends and family to have for other gatherings. They’ll love having something homemade without having to spend the time. If you’re a really good cook, offer to cater small holiday parties to bring in extra money.
Do some babysitting or house-sitting. Most women would love to be able to go holiday shopping without the kids. Offer to babysit them while she goes, or while a couple attends a holiday party. People often go out of town during the holidays too. Offer to watch your neighbor’s, friend’s, or family‘s house and feed their pets for a few extra dollars.
Sell the things you don’t use. Ebay and Craigslist make it easy to get money for the things you don’t use anymore. Same with your clothes. If you haven’t worn it in a while, sell it to a consignment shop.
For many people, it’s essential to have some extra money during the holiday season. Whether you need money to finish buying gifts for friends and family, or to start the new year debt-free, these ideas are sure to help bring in the money!
